Bolsena

The USAC group traveled to a small town called Bolsena which is home to the largest volcanic crater in all of Europe.  The town was beautiful, all of the houses were brightly colored, it had a very Mediterranean look to it.  The crater is now home to a lake so we spent most of the day at the beach and playing frisbee in the water.  After a while a group of us started a game of soccer on the beach and the Italians were surprised to see that girls were playing with the boys.  It was a very relaxing day and the views from the lake were amazing.

The building on the left is a museum of what can be found in the crater.  We went here before the lake which I thought was funny because we saw all the weird but interesting animals that live in the lake.

A romantic park on the walk over to the lake.
